Amanda finished praying and prepared herself for what was to come.
“Alright.” Said Amanda
“Good, please remove your cloths.” Said Nancy “We don’t want anything getting in the way of the change.”
“Alright.” Said Amanda blushing a bit, she was a shy woman after all and removing her cloths in front of this woman, well mermaid she had just met wasn’t something she was used to. Slowly she followed orders, she didn’t have shoes or socks on but removing her all her cloths took some time. She was floating nude in the water.
“Take a deep breath, this will feel weird, but it will not hurt.” Explained Nancy as she put the shot gun against Amanda’s skin. She pulled the trigger as the needle broke the skin and sent the formula into Amanda’s system.
Amanda’s heart rate picked up as she looked toward her feet assuming that was where the changes would start. It wasn’t, instead it started at the small of her back as her flesh began to turn into scales. The scales climbed up to a point near her shoulder blades. The scales hadn’t taken on any color yet only remaining the same tone as her flesh however growing out of her spinal cored was the start of a back fin. Two side fins began to grow out of her hips as her heart pounded in her chest.
Nancy was right, it felt strange, but it didn’t hurt, she felt her legs get pulled together as first flesh and then scales grew over them. At the same time, she felt bones shifting and popping as her legs or new tail extended outward, the bones in her legs fusing together into a single limb. While she was so focused on her still flesh color soon to be tail, the pigment of her black hair shifted and began to lighten. It turned from black to brown, from brown to blonde and from blonde to silver. Not an old age silver but a bright silver. Her eyes went from dark to an aqua blue color as her fingers became webbed with aqua blue flesh. That same color flesh began to form on her back fin and her two small side fins.
Her tail was almost formed, it was now one solid limb from the ankles up, she expected her feet to spread out into a long tail, instead she watched her feet turn 90 degrees so one was facing directly forward while the other was facing directly behind her. Then then stretched out into a shark like tail only instead of being solid it to had that aqua blue flesh. Her tail had fully formed but aside from her fins it was skinned, tone.
Then moving up from the end of her tail climbing up her tail, the skin tone turned to a silver color with a two lines of aqua blue on either side running from her hips to her tail. It reached her bellybutton and stopped in the front in a V shape pointed down before keeping going up her back to an inverse V which stopped at her shoulder blade.
For a while Amanda just floated there, taking in water and breathing it like it was air. Her vision had improved, she could also feel her hair brushing her back and the new fin. Her hair seamed weighted now.
“I think your done.” Announced Nancy as she swam around the new mermaid. Amanda gave a test kick of her new tail and found she had to move it side to side like a shark instead of a true kick like a “traditional” mermaid but it was powerful. “Very good, aside from hair, eyes and your tail of course I don’t see many changes.”
“That is good I guess.” Said Amanda not sure of water else to say as she studied herself in a large mirror which was attached to one wall. She thought her breasts looked a little bigger then normal, but that could be to the fact that they seamed to be acting as if she had a bra on when she didn’t. She blushed as she realized that. “Ah…can I get a top please?”
“Yes.” Said Nancy as she went to the opposite wall and began to look around in multiple small draws. She came back with a collar looking thing with a two triangle shaped piece of fish netting with some sea shells and sea weed. The bottom was also metal with a the front shaped to support the breast and the back metal placed shaped with a large bend upward almost touching the collar piece. Amanda just looked at it confused and back up at Nancy. It looked almost like something from ancient Egypt.
“Your new back fin, makes this your only choose for a top and I forgot to tell you, that the oil on our skin eats away at almost every fabric or plastic, only metals like gold, bronze and sea based organic material is safe from it.” Explained Nancy “It is either this or go topless, a lot of mermaids and merman do.”
Amanda blushed, she was too shy to go topless so she put the top on, it was much more revealing then anything she would ever wear but she had no choice. Her human cloths had been taken away, put into a shoot which sent it to the surface, Amanda only kept the golden cross neck less which now hung clearly visible between her breasts and the two strips of fishnet, sea weed and sea shells which formed her top.
“You can get a different top made when you settle in at the colony.” Explained Nancy “Now let’s move on.”
