Canade wrote "School is a bit tricky, but I'm making friends and I'm enjoying our time together. If I can stay I will." Heather smiled happy her new friend wasn't going to leave. Canade continued "I think if I were to go back home. It would probably get lonelier as well. How about we stick together?"
Heather giggled and said "That sounds like a great idea! Let's have fun forever!" at which point Canade pointed to the clock "...Ok, Time to go to bed."
Some time in the future Jane had decided to take Merica somewhere and had a nice suit on. Merica however only wearing her sleeveless shirt and jeans made Jane ask "What happened to that dress I gave you?"
Merica sighed and said "Mom, this is comfortable, stylish for cameras, and more importantly we just solved a thousand incidents in a single hour. I don't care who we're meeting, we're Priestesses of Chronos it doesn't matter what we wear." She looked to the large estate in front of her... Just some rich people "I could strip naked an- know what, never mind. Let's just get this over." Then Merica pressed a buzzer at the gates.
A robotic voice came from the gates "Ah, hello. It's always a pleasure to see you Jane, and my who do we have here? Merica already a priestess?"
Jane smiled and said "Yep, it's about time we let her in on this little secret."
Merica feeling tired and overworked said "It's been a long day. Can we drop the charades?"
The robotic voice said "Aw, but you always loved playing charades. Also so cute, she's still measuring things in units of time."
Merica confused sputtered "Charades? When did I? wait... are you?"
The voice continued "There's something I've always wanted to say to you Merica." Merica's mind was trying to unravel the timeline, and tried to think if what she thought had happened was actually happening.
"...hello...sister..." said a soft voice. The owner behind it struggling to get the words out. A lifetime of silence coming to an end after so much practice.
Merica knew this was her sister Canade... just a lot older as Jane was really here in the present saying "Oh, I'm so proud!"
Merica was confused as another voice played on the microphone "Canade! That came out perfectly! Next time we'll focus on complete sentences!"
Merica asked "Wait are there two of you there?"
The second female voice said "...You left the microphone on OPEN MIC!!! I told you to use Push to Talk!... Oh don't sign me that!" Heather and Canade had grown really close, and in business worked together and never really needed to leave the same house. Least not yet as neither young woman had to worry about the march of time robbing them of youth and potential love from the opposite sex.
Jane said "As much fun as this is. We have a bunch of details to work out with you two Hills."
Mercia asked "Can I be told what is going on?"
Jane said "It's simple. With you and me busy with Priestess duties I left Canade in the past so she wouldn't be lonely. She was left with the Hills so she and Heather could grow up and take over their father's business. We're happy, they're happy, and we all work together to make a brighter future."
Canade's robot voice came back "Right. So can you all come inside so we can discuss business? The world still doesn't exactly know I'm Canade."
Merica said "Just open the gate then!" interested to see what her sister now looks like.
