Excited from the thought of getting bigger, Liam drank from the big bowl, only to be disappointed as he didn’t feel any different. In surprising desperation, he quickly gulped as much water as he could, only to still feel the same. After that second failure, he started crying.
Seeing his disappointed son, Dan quickly comforted him. “I think I remember hearing that ‘like water carving through a boulder, the effects of the fountains’s water are slow and steady’. Maybe you just have to wait” he said, though not sure if it was true, but at the very least it at least will make his son drink more water.
This comforted Liam a bit.
As they returned home, Liam asked his dad to measure him, and they went to the wall they always measured their height against for years.
“You are still four feet tall, you just have to wait a bit” said Dan.
“How tall are you dad?” asked Liam.
“I am six foot four, but I am sure you’ll get even taller than that when time comes, especially with the water from The Fountain of Size”.
“Really?” asked Liam. “Really” he replied
The day continued as normal, and as Liam got to bed, he was excited of the thought of getting bigger.
