The following week, Liam constantly went outside to drink from the fountain, and asked his dad to measure him every few hours.
Dan told to his son that he will only measure him after a week, which got his son infuriated.
All the while, Liam started to feel his loose clothes (bought with the thought of growing space) becoming more fitting on himself, which he interpreted as him growing, and he got very exited at the thought that he is getting bigger, and told his dad that. Dan wasn’t really sure if his son’s feelings of tighter clothes were real or psychological, but with how The Fountain of Size appearing in their backyard suddenly, he suspected that it will be true.
As next week came in, Liam started to constantly ask his dad to measure him.
“Alright, come” said Dan.
Measuring Liam against the wall, it became apparent for Dan that the top of his head stood higher than last week’s mark, and looking down, he saw Liam’s feet flat against the ground, proving it to be true.
“You are now about four feet one and two thirds of in inch tall, you did grow!”
After hearing Liam jumped in excitement at the confirmation of his growth. Sure, it wasn’t a lot and he was still short for his age, but it was something.
Afterwards, Dan looked closely at his son’s clothes and saw that they are a perfect fit.
Neither of them knew that, but Liam’s growth from the fountain was about half a percent a day.
That week, Liam still continued to constantly drink from the fountain, but he became less eager to constantly ask his dad to measure him, as he knew he was growing.
The next week came, and Liam once again asked his dad to measure him. Looking at his son, it was clear that he was taller than two weeks ago.
Marking Liam once again against the wall with the mark from two weeks prior being notably lower than the top of his head, Dan also saw that Liam’s clothes started to become tight on him.
“You are about four feet and three and a half inches tall, Liam. It also looks like I will need to buy you bigger clothes.”
After that, they went to the mall, where Liam was excited as his dad bought him clothes that were loose on him, thinking that he will soon grow to fit their size.
