Now the thing was "old Amanda 333" was a rather ancient small
farm tractor built by a mysteriously hard to trace manufacturer
named Amanda International Manufacturing and Equipment
Enterprise (AIMEE )
half a century earlier.
Basically Farmer Brown had tried to contact AIMEE many a time
needing a rebuilt starter motor,glow plug,fuel pump gasket kit,etc
to no avail.
It appeared AIMEE had gone bellyup decades earlier, which
would have made Amanda 333 and her parts of little
value beyond melting down for scrap.
Had that occurred I'm sure the flesh and blood Amanda would have been in serious trouble in that arc furnace.
Farmer Brown spent the next few days considering this
Final Option, since the Saloon had launched a legal
proceeding against him.The farms insurance only covered
issues that occurred on the farm, not run away tractors
elsewhere.
So Chuck was desperate and had realized even selling old Amanda for scrap wasn't going to help him.
It had been his daughter who suggested he try the
mysterious cell phones SEARCH function one last time
for AIMEE.
Maybe there was company coverage on their farm machinery
that Chuck could use.
So Farmer Brown flipped open the cell phone and
was most pleasantly surprised to discover it had a
app
not for tf themed stuff
but for repair and upgrades of AIMEE products, which
though it surprised Chuck to suddenly have AIMEE
suddenly be findable again
was a beginning.
So Farmer Brown went through the various AIMEE
product lines till he came across the
Amanda 333 farm tractor line, which according to the app had been manufactured in town from 1939 to 1955.
Farmer Brown was a bit surprised on that bit of information
but was more interested in the repair and upgrade
options available for the Amanda 333 models.
According to the app
for $500 Chuck could get a Amanda 333 repaired
and for $5,000 he could get a Amanda 333 upgraded to the
latest model
a heavenly looking big machine called the
Amanda 3100
complete with artificial intelligence self driving, voice
interface,nifty 750 horsepower dievel electric engine,4 wheel
drive, etc all the bells and whistles.
Well Chuck didn't really have a spare $5,000
but he was also savvy enough to realize AIMEE was offering
him a $100,000 to $125,000 top of the line farm tractor for
$5,000.
So he raided his kids education accounts ,wired the money
like the app told him to
and then following instructions on the cell phone
marched outside back to the broken down tractor and
pushed in the various Product Key Codes he was told to type
in.
As he and his two ticked off children watched in
astonishment the dirty old wreck of a Amanda 333
glowed intensely and began to shift ,grow in size and alter
till where it had stood now sat a nifty new paint job fresh
big powerful Amanda 3100,its engine purring away
and its computerized systems booting up.
Then came the feminine sounding voice from the huge farm
tractors speakers.....
