Much to everyone's relief the lots hadnt rolled during the night. After showering and changing Laura, Kaitlin, and Anna quickly got the directions to the Magic Shop.
While the directions were easy, finding clothes for everyone proved to be a bit harder. While Kaitlin had thought ahead and brought something to wear, Anna and Laura weren't as fortunate. Laura ended up wearing an old pair of jeans, which were a bit too long and an old sweatshirt from college. Anna wasnt as fortunate having to resort to an old dress of Laura's from high school that hung on the child like a sack. While their clothing was functional it wasnt very flattering, especially for Anna who couldn't even wear shoes at her reduced age.
"Ugh they better be able to fix this," Anna grumbled. "I dont have enough money to buy an entire new wardrobe."
Laura silently agreed as they piled into Kaitlins car. As they drive Laura became lost in thought at her circumstances. What if they couldn't fix this? Would Laura be forced to relive high school. Worse who would take care of her, or even Anna? Neither one was old enough to be on their own. Would she and Anna be forced to live with Kaitlin? Laura shuddered at the thought. Yes her and Kaitlin were friends but asking her formerly younger friend to act as their mother was a bit off putting.
As they pulled into the parking lot of Restart Rd. the three youth affected women gazed curiously at the apparent abandoned building. "No way that's it," Kaitlin said. "Place looks like no one has used it in years."
"Maybe it's just the fact I'm a kid again but that place is seriously scaring me," Anna shuddered as she crossed her arms around herself. Laura said nothing, trying to maintain a brave front but she too was creeped out by the building. As they opened the back door, Laura turned her back to Anna. "Hop on."
"What," Anna asked curiously.
"Hop on my back I'll carry you," Laura offered. "Look, you dont have any shoes on right now and maybe riding on my back will put you a little more at ease."
Although Anna grumbled a response, she was all to happy to hop on Laura's back. Truth be told it did put her a little more at ease as the teenager now journeyed across the parking lot. As the three now anxiously approached the large wooden doors of the building both dead and hope flooded their hearts. Hopefully they could finally be done with this.
