Laura looks through every room for anything that might be of use. Eventually she finds a forgotten cell phone in a drawer. Laura takes it and texts the only person she can recall the number of, Kaitlin.
Kaitlin is, of course, furious at Laura for ditching her at the office and confused at why she isn't using her own phone. Laura explains everything that has happened, except for the accident, and supplies enough personal information to convince Kaitlin it is actually her. Kaitlin expresses extreme doubt towards the story but decides to humor her by meeting at the daycare center.
Kaitlin arrives shortly after and cautiously opens the door, "Ok Laura I'm here. Just get whatever weird prank you're pulling over with."
Laura sighs and walks to the entrance, "It's not a prank! I was telling the truth!"
Her insistence sounds more like a toddler whining than an adult asserting herself. Nevertheless, Kaitlin's eyes go wide.
"Laura?!? That's really you?!?"
"Afraid so."
"I can't believe it! I thought for sure you were playing some sort of game! So the magic dice are real?"
"Yeah, I have them right here. Be careful with them though I don't have many years left to lose."
Laura hands the case over to Kaitlin, who carefully opens it to take a look.
