Shanon shook her head, "I'm ... I'm just a kid!" She couldn't believe her eyes, let alone her voice as it squeaked out. "How's this possible?"
Joey grinned internally to himself. He remembered how much Shannon had teased him in high school. This made all those times worth it. "I dunno, its really weird...don't worry though Shannon, I'll stick with you through this. There has to be a way to turn you back."
The young girl nodded, moving over to hug him gingerly, and Joey rested a hand on her head. "Come on, I'll walk you home."
He took her hand and together they left the shop and began to walk back. For all intents and purposes Joey was content that other people probably thought an older brother was taking his young sister shopping, but he used the ring to try to influence that a bit. Shanon did not miss the looks people gave, or the smiles or whispers talking how sweet it was that a brother and sister got along.
"Wh...why are they saying that?" She asked.
"Saying what?"
"That I'm your sister, I'm not!"
"Well, its not hard logic, I mean, you're just a kid now Shannon."
He felt her hand squeeze tighter. "I know ... don't remind me."
He stopped and knelt down, brushing some of her hair from her eyes. "Hey, it'll be okay kiddo."
She stomped her foot. "I'm not a kid! Im a grown woman turned into a kid. This sucks! I have to grow up all over again."
"Maybe, maybe not, I mean you still remember who you were right? Your not thinking like a kid?"
"Thank God, no. That'd be the worst. Going back to my Goosebumps phase?"
"Goosebumps?" Joey questioned, a sudden spark of inspiration.
"Yeah, when I was a kid, I loved the Goosebump books. My favorites were the werewolf ones. When I was actually this age, I was really into werewolves. I even wished I was one."
Joey chuckled. "Well, stranger things can happen." Inside though, he firmly focused that thought, concentrating it into the young girl. The idea, the very essence that Shannon would be a werewolf at this age. Shannon herself didnt notice it, but her ears grew to slight points, and her eyebrows became a little thicker then. She did notice a strange feeling in her body, especially her hands, and looking down she gasped as she saw her fingernails growing longer like claws. She let go of his hand, stumbling back. "No!"
Joey feigned ignorance. "Shannon?"
Fur was growing on the back of her hands now, along the bridge of her nose which had begun to darken...her ears continued their shift, growing to points as they swiveled up her head. She turned and saw this in a reflection, just in time to see her teeth sharpen into fangs. She reached to touch them, her hands still almost entirely hands, just with fur and claws, and thicker skin on the palms. Her bright eyes gleamed slightly gold as she heard a sudden rip from her pants. Looking back, she saw a small tail had poked out.
"No..." She growled, this time a combination of fear and wonder. Her heels rose as the tips of her sneakers broke, small clawed toes poking out. Shannon did not know that Joey was watching with a grin on his face....she was too busy freaking out. "No...no no, noooawwwooooo" she howled as the transformation completed, leaving her a shaggy furred werewolf girl.
