Laura expects to be left with the bratty boy, but is surprised to see mommy taking him with her. She is about to call after her before assuming she would just get another scolding. Instead she finds a bench to stand on to watch where they are going.
When she sees the two heading back out the front door, Laura rushes out of the play area after them. Her tiny legs coupled with her boots prevent her from reaching them before they step outside and she finds she's too weak to push open the heavy door. She is forced to watch helplessly as they return to the car and pull away.
Laura feels her body flush with anger. That woman played her for a fool! She obviously just wanted the dice and just pretended to be helpful long enough to dump her here! And now what's she supposed to do call the police and tell them "mommy" stole her magic dice.
Laura is so worked up she doesn't notice at first that she's peeing into her training pants. Once she does her anger turns to embarrassment. She needs to figure out something now or she's going to be stuck like this for a long time.
