"Do you notice anything weird going on?" Linda grabbed her and ducked into the nearby bathroom.
"You mean with like, our bodies?" She spoke in a whisper.
"Yeah! I get to school and suddenly I'm this raccoon-girl... Do you know what's going on?"
"I think... every time I look at someone they turn into an animal person, and every time they look at someone it happens again."
"Like a virus?"
"Yeah, a virus that nobody notices." Linda stopped to do the math in her head. "I bet it'll be about... a week before the whole planet's covered"
"That's fucked. The worst part is, I can't even convince people that it's not normal! Look - " Izzie gestured towards Alyssa, a tiny mouse-girl trying to fix her mascara. She'd been short as a human, but now she was just over 4 feet tall, barely seeing over the counter. "You need a boost?" Izzie asked before lifting her up.
"Isn't it weird how there's nothing here the right size for you?"
"No... why would it be? I'm only a mouse." She squeaked annoyedly.
"It's just, shouldn't there be accommodations? Why is it one size fits -"
"Take it up with the school board. Now, put me down."
Izzie groaned. "It goes right through them! I feel like a crazy person trying to -"
"Just don't." Linda embraced her girlfriend. "This is just how things are, we need to get used to it."
The bell rang. The mouse dashed out, but Izzie and Linda lingered. "So, do you wanna skip, go grab an early lunch?" the former asked the latter.
