After climbing a couple more hundred of feets, the pack started to feel quite confident on their chances of victory against the salamanders.
Not only they managed to have the werewolf of the prophecies on their side, but they now discovered said werewolf can, not only, convert the salamanders into their kind, but also make those he converts become almost as powerful as him muscle wise. Never before did victory seems so possible.
Meanwhile, Hollis tried to focus. He managed to heard a weird sound, but don't know where it came from or what it was.
The remaining of the party was either too confident to notice or just didn't have much mind to think about it.
A massive boulder, easily heavier than all of the council members together, fell from the top of the mountain. Hollis immediately reacted trying to grab the boulder, accidentally making the council fall off his back.
The giant teenager managed to grab it effortlessly and smiled at the council. "I told I could stop anything dangerous."
His smile faded when the boulder exploded right on his arms. The boulder had explosive hidden inside of it.
Two bombs to be exact. A normal bomb and a smoke bomb.
The smoke bomb stunned the council immediately. It managed to knock the former salamanders in few seconds.
Hollis was the only one still on his feet, but the smoke was managing to lower his reflexes.
Not long after, dozens of salamanders came out of their hiding, wearing leather masks to not inhale the gas.
The amphibian warriors quickly surrounded Hollis and attacked from multiple directions. The teenager managed to knock out fifteen before getting immobilized.
Just like that, in a single minute, they have lost.
