CYOTF (Human)

She doesn't look a day over 800

added 3 years ago AR AP

Eva had just finished changing Kevin. She smiled as she looked at him and thought to herself how nice it must be to be a baby and have not a care in the world. Compared to the stresses of daily life it seemed preferable.

"Sometimes I wish I could go back to being a baby like you and growing up didn't happen so fast, that way we'd have more time to be carefree and enjoy life". The 63 year old woman said as she set Kevin down on the floor to play with some toys. Unknown to her though the ring had heard her wish and began to make changes. A combination of Eva's current age of 63 and her wish to grow up slower caused the human lifespan to multiplied by 20. Due to this people now lived an average of 1600 years but to make things easy most people only count how old they are in decades. Science and technology have greatly increased due to humans having longer to work on things. So much so that humanity has colonized other planets to help with overpopulation.

Back at home, Eva's body quickly regressed physically to match the first part of her wish. This caused Kevin and his sister to vanish from existence due to their mother now being a child. Her age was still 63, but now physically and mentally she was like a 3 year old. She fell to the ground with a slight thud than made her start to cry.

"Aww poor baby, what happened?" a woman said as she bent down to pick Eva up. It was Christina, Eva's mother. The 800 year old woman looked great for her age, her body was fortunately still a nice hourglass shape even after having two kids. She sat down in a chair and rocked Eva to get her to quiet down. She had gotten very good at this when Eva's sister Alex was a child. 260 years so far of being a mother and Christina was starting to understand why most people only ever had one child. She still had another 300 until both her children were old enough to move out on their own. But she still enjoyed these quiet moments.

"Hey Mom! I'm going to go hang out with some friends!". Well quiet moments didn't last forever as Alex's yell broke the silence.

"is somebody going to be there to supervise you? You know my rules." Eva replied.

"Well no but we were just going to the mall really quick. And I'm now so I can take care of myself." Alex said hoping her mom would agree.

"No Alex, you're still not old enough, maybe in 60 years when you turn 320 then we can talk."

Alex said nothing as she turned around and stomped down the hallway to her room. Halfway there though she stepped on a small object laying in the carpet. Alex bent down and picked up the magic ring.

"Must be mom's " she thought as she examined it. "It's pretty. Well, I'll hold on to it for now" She thought as she slid it onto her finger and continued to her room.

When she got there she shut the door and layed down on her bed. "Stupid mom not letting me go hang out with friends, like she never did anything when she was my age. Now I have to wate another six decades. Jeez, sometimes I wish that…"
