Timmy furiously begins to head towards Laura. But when Laura is about to receive the dice, the child throw them into the air with all his strength and runs to his mother. Laura quickly goes to where the dice fell, hoping that the dice case has not opened but at that moment she begins to hear the voice of the spirit.
"Nine years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but one, each roll of the dice shall restore more of what you have lost."
Laura manages to grab the dice but at that moment, she begins to observe how little by little she shrinks and how everything starts to get bigger. And when the transformation was over, Laura looked at herself and saw that she had now become a little baby girl of just 1 year old.
When she thought it couldn't get worse, the child's mother quickly gets to where she is. Apparently she saw everything that happened.
"Oh my, did you just get younger !?"
Laura tried to explained everything that happened but the only words that came out of her mouth was "Goo Goo Gaa"
"Well, that doesn't matter. What matters for now is what I'm going to do with you. I can't leave an infant alone."
Then, the mother lifted her into her arms. Also at that moment, the lady begins to cuddle little Laura in her arms.
"Awww, you're just so cute." The mother tells Laura, as she begins to mericlessly tickling 1-year-old Laura's stomach. Laura tries to restrain herself from laughing but finally she ends up bursting into giggles.
"Oh what do you have in your handsies sweetie?"
The mother tries to take the dice she has in her hands while Laura tries her best not to give it to her but finally ends up giving it.
"And what is this? Is this what made you younger? Well, I'll find out later. Meanwhile, why don't we look for any clothes so that you can wear?"
Laura watches as the lady puts the dice in her purse. And then, Laura is taken back to the clothing room. Once inside, Laura begins to hear the spirit's voice again.
"Laura Peters. The spirit of youth is no longer bonded with you. Enjoy what has been returned to you."
The lady does not seem to hear the words of the spirit and Laura feels relief and panic. She's glad to not be at risk of losing her last year but what do the words mean? Since she gave the dice to Linda "willingly" does that mean they're hers now? Does that means she's stuck as a baby? With these questions capturing her attention, Laura does not realize when the young mother begins to put her in a pink colored pampers disposable diaper.
She's then dressed in a light pink baby onesie with a colorful butterfly on it and small pink socks. And finally the lady puts a pink pacifier in Laura's mouth.
"That should be enough. Now let's go to our house. There you can stay as long as necessary while I find out what made you a baby. Besides, I've always wanted to have a baby girl."
Finally, Laura is taken to the young mother's car and is and buckled into a spare child's car seat next to Timmy.
"Mommy, and who is this baby?" Timmy asks.
"It's just a little one who was lost in the library. She will stay with us while I look for her parents" She explains to her son.
Laura doesn't have many options left. It will be even more difficult to try to return to normal now that she was reduced to a one-year-old baby and is under the hands of a middle-aged lady with her son. She has to think about a new plan but fast.
