With Kaitlin in the fitting room, Laura looks at the die and wonders what counted as a roll. Placing the die on a table she gives it a little nudge to knock it onto 6.
“Thirty one years you have walked this earth. Now this number is but twenty five. Each roll of the die shall return more of what has been lost.”
Laura smiles smugly to know how to game the system. A little voice inside her head does warn against getting carried away, though upon seeing the mid-twenties Kaitlin emerge that voice fades.
"Really Kaitlin that outfit is not you at all. Are you sure you're not shopping for your mother?"
"I'm just going for a mature look. Something I'm sure you aren't familiar with." Kaitlin sticks her tongue.
"Of course. Next to you I'm just a little girl after all."
"You could be if you don't watch yourself."
Showing she meant it, Kaitlin tosses Laura's die.
“Twenty nine years you have walked this earth. Now this number is but twenty five. Each roll of the die shall return more of what has been lost.”
Laura looks herself up and down, "Fair but let's not leave all our years here."
