Since nobody had listened to him, and with nothing else to do, Aaron decided to fill out the forms. Who know, he might even have fun doing it! And why stop at only one form? Might as well double the fun and fill two of the things!
The first thing the form asked was, of course, the name. Seeing it, he couldn't help but wonder what could have been if his first love, an exchange student from Japan, had stayed in the country rather than going back home. Would they have ended together? And if they did, would she have taken on his name, or would he have been the one to take on her's?
In the end, he decided to name the two kids Eri and Kazuko Hitoshio, two freshman girls. As parent he put his previously cited first love, Yuki Hitoshio, for mother and Aaron Hitoshio as father, having finally decided he would have been the one taking Yuki's name. His parents never loved Aaron after all, and it would be the perfect way to break the last tie he had with those peoples.
When asked the previous year's GPA of his imaginary daughters, he gave Kazuko a 3.6 while Eri was granted a perfect 4.0. For their best subject he put Math for Eri and was about to put English for Kazuko, but decided to write Japanese instead. And for their worst? He simply marked ‘none’.
The next part was on extracurricular activities. "Sunwood Academy students are expected to participate in at least two and no more than five extracurricular activities."
Both girl got Karate as their first extracurricular. Their parents had insisted they should practice at least one martial art, so they could protect themselves if needed, and they had stuck with it.
Aaron imagined Eri to usually practice another martial art, changing that second one every year, but she would calm down on that front for her first year of hight school. He also registered her as a Matholympians and to the Model UN, he knew she would appreciate.
Kazu-chan for her part would have liked to help at the Library like she had done at the previous school, but it didn't seem to be a possibility at Sunwood, so she got Debate instead. Maybe it will help her be a bit less shy…
"Would you like to apply to join any of the social clubs? If so, which?"
Looking at the list, he saw there was a computer club and knew he needed to inscribe Eri-kun to it, she wouldn't pardon him otherwise. He also put her twin sister in the drama club, again in the hope it would help Kazu-chan be less introvert.
Pen were dropped and the two sisters looked around. Somehow while they were filling their forms more students had come to do just as much. It didn't take long for the other kids do finish and soon the forms were collected and the future students to be guided outside.
Eri was forced to admit that even her was intimidated this time, and couldn't imagine how terrified was her sister. Their father might be American, his work had forced him to go live in Japan, where he renewed with his first love, their mother. The twins were born and raised in Japan and, while their parents had made sure they spoke both languages, they were still in a brand new country, bathed in a culture that wasn't their own. (And they still spoke English with an accent.)
Paradoxically, it was their mother's job that made them come live in the U.S.A. It was Yuki who pulled the weight when it came to bring money to the Hitoshio household, not that said woman wanted it any other way. She gained her life quite comfortingly and is happy to have her husband prepare delicious bentōs for his girls and take care of the house.
The girls looked around, searching for their father. Upon spotting Aaron, they fleetingly thought it should be them, wondering how it was possible to have ‘another’ Aaron, but they rapidly chased the nonsensical idea out of their mind and ran toward him, screaming "Otō-san!"
