Jake was finishing up in the bathroom when he heard the front door open from outside. "Jake? You here?" It was his roommate Nate. "Oh shit! I didn't get to change the awareness settings." Jake hadn't thought to use the option until after he was done grooming his mane. "Huh? What's this?" Jake vaguely heard from outside the bathroom. He wanted to burst out the door to stop him from seeing his laptop, but he didn't eat to take the risk.
Nate stared at the screen on Jake's laptop. "The Chronivac? What's that supposed to be, a class project?" Nate sat down to explore the program. He quickly learned from the intro description he read that this program could change whatever you desired, without consequences. This intrigued Nate as he started scrolling through his options.
Jake could almost make out typing. Nate was using the Chronivac. The question is, was he gonna change himself, or Jake?
