Kendall slammed her hand into the bathroom mirror, the vivid and odd, somewhat lurid fantasy that had just played out in her mind more or less everything she feared would happen. That she was hateful, vile for what she did. That Connor was deep down always like that, even prior to the massive changes in their lives. She breathed and cleared her mind of such things. Looking down at the phone in her pocket, she thought about everything that happened as a result of the Chronivac.
She looked out at the door, and then where her boyfriend was still out enjoying the food and drink here. She could not let herself get entrapped in such odd ideas. Thinking about where she would be going with this further, she washed her hands and then looked at her reflection. She swore she had never seemed this haggard.
The Allen thing, the changes, the return of Connor to a female form, and then getting into contact with that...guy on the phone...it was like her life was heading somewhere she could not predict. She could not help but feel scared, even with a much more advanced version of the phone in her pocket...
That was when the phone rang.
Kendall brought the phone out, answered it and heard the raspy voiced man over the phone again; "Enjoying your gifts, my sweet Cheerleader?"
"I would be if you would just---" Kendall tried to retort, only for the man to start laughing.
"There's a bit more about the Chronivac 7.0 I never told you. You see, it's been keyed to you. Meaning, nobody but you can use it. And nobody with a lesser version can override your changes, or change you."
"And why," Kendall asked pointedly, "Are you telling me all of this?"
"Oh," The man said blithely, "just so you know what kind of power you have at your finger tips. Have fun, little girl. After all, isn't enjoying your authority kind of your deal?" And with that, the phone call ended. And Kendall hoped that that would be the last she heard of that cackling bastard. She wiped her face of the cold sweat that had come up during that mercifully short call, and then went about leaving for the table.
And...Connor.
He sat there with a plate of sushi, and welcomed her back to the table with a smile, "Just so you know, the food got here." Connor then seemed to turn contemplative, "...Was something wrong?"
"No, nothing's wrong. I was just having a...I guess you could call it an extended daydream. But now I'm awake." Kendall replied, and then went about eating her food. She looked at him and remembered the intrusion at his house. Of course he would not even remember so much as seeking Jenna and Josie. She'd made...she'd made damn sure of that.
As the dinner went on and then concluded uneventfully, Kendall overheard some of the waiting staff talking about them on one last trip toward the bathroom. One particularly hotshot waiter was chatting with two other male coworkers about them, not even caring if they were possibly going to hear;
"Those Gaijin I swear, the big dumb brutish one can't use chopsticks to save his life. And the bimbo...all oppai, no brains. Can't be bothered to observe how food is supposed to be eaten." The guy was tall, slim but fit, and had his hair gelled back. He was easily the leader of the bunch, probably in his mid to late twenties. Kendall knew she should just keep walking and not give too much attention to these creeps, but they kept on going.
"Yeah, big boobs over there probably needs someone to show her what a real, functional relationship is like...can't imagine steroid-kun can get it up."
The Chronivac powered up as Kendall looked out at those men, contemplating what she was going to do. She could just hear the crooning laughter of that creep even without the man's presence on the other end of the phone. She was really gonna do this. The first guy's name was Katsu Mikouji, it said his hobbies included night club visits, cigarette smoking, dating girls, and some sort of club involving drinking. She was surprised he was so trim and fit when he indulged so much in those vices.
His underling was Greg Ryouto, who was slim but not quite as fit as his boss. He was much more nondescript, and thus came off more like a follower for Katsu's paternalistic, misogynistic nonsense.
Deciding on some changes, Kendall decided to turn Katsu into a German Shepherd dog over the course of 12 hours, and set the transformation to end after 36 hours following its completion, and as for Greg, she would let him have a 12 hour long transformation into a woman, with the same end time of 36 hours. She wasn't going to just transform people and give them no exit from it.
Heading out, she apologized to Connor for making him wait, and then watched those rude chatty waiters leave the place too. Kendall's hand rested on the Chronivac in her pocket, and she thought about the possibilities...and what this kind of thing demanded of her.
