Maybe Kendall should use her Chronivac app to make her parents and herself more tolerating towards gays peoples, maybe even turn herself into a lesbian so she could still be with Connor, or whatever he wanted to be called now. Or maybe, rather than turning herself into a disgusting lesbo and making herself be fine with it, she could turn herself into an heterosexual boy. Maybe Connor would choose 'her' new self over Allan.
"Say, did you think of what people should call you now that you're a girl? We can't keep calling you Connor, it's not a very feminine name…"
"No, no I didn't. What do you think would be a good name for me?"
"I… I'm not sure, I don't know the true you well enough, and the subject is still a bit painful to be honest. Plus, I'm not sure you should let anyone influence your choice. After all a name is something important, something that can influence how peoples see you."
"I'm not that different from the Connor you knew" Answered the girl that used to be her boyfriend. "I might have first hit the gym so much because of how insecure I was about my masculinity, as funny as that seem in hindsight, but I loved it and that's not going to change. In fact, none of my tastes changed, I'm just more willing to admit some of them."
"Like your love of dress?"
"To be honest, if dress appeal so much to me right now, its mostly because they still feal like a ‘forbidden fruit’ at the moment. But while I can see myself wearing them for grand occasions or if I want to impress someone, I think I'm the kind of girl who prefer pants for everyday life. In fact, I think I'm some kind of tomboy, funnily enough. There is tons of ‘typically male’ things that still appeal to me, and ‘typically female’ things that doesn't. In fact, there is lot of said activity that I never understood how girls could love. I guessed it was because I wasn't a girl myself but, now that I know it isn't true, I realize it's just that I don't fit within our society's stereotypes. And you know what? I'm perfectly fine with it!"
Suddenly, Kendall had to ask "Earlier, you said how you were against the idea of someone altering the mind of someone else. But what about someone altering their own mind? Like, what if I asked Josie or Jenny to make me a lesbian? Or to go so far as turn me into your boyfriend in both body and mind?"
"Oh wow. Does us being a couple mean that much to you?" Connor didn't let the other girl answer before adding. "Anyway, I don't have any problem if the one having their mind altered actually asked for it. That said, I would ask you to be cautious and recommend you only do it if it's the only way you can think to find your happiness. And if you do it, I urge you to try life with your prejudice against gay relationship removed first. Because the way you present things, I'm starting to thing you're as bisexual as I am, and is just unable to accept it because of said prejudice."
Then Kendall cracked and felt the need to reveal she had a Chronivac of her own, namely her phone. "I… I got a wired call from a creepy guy who claim to be the one distributing Chronivacs after I discovered you were a girl again, said something about the original creator having met a tragic fate or something. Then he remotely installed an app called ‘Chronivac 7.0’ on my phone, which somehow also repaired it, and exhorted me to use it on you, to turn you back into the boy I trough you were."
She hesitated a bit more before adding "And while, feeling guilty, I undid everything, I must admit that at first I had effectively turned you back into a boy and even made mental adjustment so you wouldn't want to be a girl, or even remembered ever being one, not even temporarily."
To Kendall surprise, she felt Connor hands take her own. "There is nothing to be ashamed of. You did realize how wrong it was to have changed me against my will and altered my mind, and undid it. Anyone with that kind of power would be tempted to use it, but not everybody would be so willing to admit and correct their errors. And speaking of change, could you turn me into a redhead, please? A natural redhead? I'm not a fan of my blond hairs, and I think red would look good on me."
That's when, for some strange reason, Kendall noticed Connor was eating his food using chopsticks. "Wait, you actually know how to eat using those sticks?!?"
"Well, yeah. Uncle George is married to a Japanese woman. I love my aunt Kumiko, but my parents forbade her and my uncle for ever meeting me again, I never could have an answer about why." As you, dear reader, might have guessed, it was because aunt Kumiko is just as transgender as Connor herself.
