There's no way she's going to manage on her own for a week. Laura decides hiring a babysitter to take care of her is the best option. Though the idea unsettles her.
First though she needs to set the stage. Heading back up to the second floor, Laura locates the nursery that's been set up for the baby her brother and sister-in-law are currently trying for. She begins the process of moving the toddler clothes, toys, and equipment into the room. By the end, the room looks suitably lived in by someone her age.
With that done, Laura uses her phone to locate a local babysitting service. She pretends to be her brother and tells the story of a relative in another country falling ill. His youngest daughter doesn't have a passport, so he needs a babysitter to come over immediately and watch her.
They quickly responds that they have someone to take the job. Laura tells them that the toddler has been put down for a nap and where to find the spare key. Laura then climbs into the crib and soon finds she won't have to pretend to be asleep. After a short nap, she wakes up to find her new babysitter looking down at her.
