"Kenta stop trying to freak her out about the fairies," Kiko sighed. "They're not that bad."
Kenta simply shrugged, leaning backwards with a smile on his face. "Cant be too careful."
"Mind if I ask a question," Kellie asked, to which Kenta and Kiko nodded. "How did you two break up?"
"It was the 90s," Kiko grumvled. "And I caught this asshole naked with some cheap bimbo at a movie premiere."
"Hey she bet me $50 she had a better body than you," Kenta said defensively. "I had to defend your honor."
"OH WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT I HAVE A WAY BETTER BODY THAN SHE DID!!!"
Kellie was silent as Kiko seethed at her former boyfriend. Kenta could only shrug, a small smile spreading across his face. "Shes right," he grinned. "She does have a better body." Kiko sighed, shaking her head as she stood. "Same old Kenta," she smiled.
As the trio stood, Kenta now began the process of tucking his "table" back in. Kellie could only describe it as odd as the tanuki adjusted himself. "Not for nothing Kiko but I am pulling for you," he said. "All the magic families see what's coming. Its gonna get ugly. You need my help, just give me a ring."
Kiko nodded as she and Kellie now began to journey towards the outskirts of town. Jack had stated that his mother would wait for a portal to open at the outskirts of town, all that needed to be done was allow her in. To ensure that the kitsune realized she meant no harm, the demon queen stated she would come alone. As they now reached the outskirts of town Kellie turned, curious as to where Mika had gone. "Any idea where Mika went?"
"Shes probably checking on your friends," Kiko stated. Kellie frowned as she carefully studied the six tails. "Should I be worried?"
"Why," Kiko asked, slightly upset as Kellies line of questioning
"You were the one saying kitsune like to play tricks," Kellie stated. "Am I wrong?"
Kiko sighed, rubbing her eyes. "Ugh look," she sighed. "Yeah kitsune can be tricksters it's in our nature. But look at mortals, mortals destroy well...everything. Just because something is in our nature doesnt mean we act on it. I mean are you here to destroy us?"
"No."
"Well I can promise you there are no tricks," Kiko exclaimed. "Whatever my sister is doing nothing and I mean NOTHING will happen to your friends, I swear upon my tails nothing will happen."
"Okay," Kellie sighed, a sheepish look on her face. "Sorry, guess I'm just worried about, well, everything."
"I get it," Kiko said, her familiar smile returning. "Sorry to spook you like that and bring out the culture hammer."
"Culture hammer?"
"Yeah," Kiko said. "The whole culture and tradition thing. Trust me I've always tried to go against the grain of that. We're both worried about what's to come, trust me we're on the same side here." Kellie agreed, despite her fears, her worries, and her concerns she realized that she and the kitsune were allies in this.
As Kiko now cast the spell to allow Lilith to cross over, Kellie watched intently. The portal slowly began to swirl, growing larger as a hole between dimensions opened, as quickly as it opened it now vanished leaving Lilith standing by herself.
"Greetings," Lilith stated. "I am honored that you have accepted my request. Come let us talk, we have much to discuss."
