As Kyle hangs up the phone, Jen is struck with an intense feeling of vertigo as her reality shifts. The dizziness subsides quickly as she looks around her room. Her room is the same size. Her desk is still there. Her bed is where it should be; except the outfit she had chosen to wear was different. The black pants and orange shirt are now gone, replaced by a mass of black-spotted orange furry fabric. Slowly she walks over and picks up the outfit. It was a one piece leopard costume!
“No no no… That curse can’t be real!” Jen says in disbelief as she stumbles back and dropping the costume on the floor.
She runs to her closet and opens the door. Her mouth opens a gasped as she surveys here new closet. Where once there was small single rail for hanging cloths there is now a massive expanse of complicated arrays of automated hooks like a laundry mat. Hanging from almost every hook is a costume. The costumes are made of furry fabric, slick rubber, and smooth cloth. Each costume is made of different colored fabrics from white to black, brown to orange, and even pink to turquoise. The costumes are depictions of many different forms from every day animals like dogs, cats, horses, and birds; aquatic specimens like fish, squid, and sharks; and even those from fantasy like a gryphon and a minotaur.
Jen couldn’t move. All she could do is look on and try to process what had happened.
“You coming? School’s in half-an-hour and you still need to eat.” Her mom calls up breaking Jen out of her shock.
Absentmindedly Jen replies, “Yeah hold on!”
It was then that Jen felt how cold she is. Looking down she realizes she’s still completely naked! The underwear and socks she had been wearing were gone!
“That little…” Jen says to herself as she made up her mind. She’d freeze to death [not really] if she didn’t wear something and she couldn’t go to school naked. She would find a way to make Kyle pay even if she had to play his game for a day.
