Terry now Teri intended to immediately change things back but hesitated he had been only a week or two from being kicked out if his apartment. He was really banking on this job, even then he was going to have to ask for some kind of advance. He figured he could pawn stuff off to make this months rent but that would only cover this month. He let the internal struggle war in his thoughts for a while and reluctantly decided to remain this way for the time being. He figured worst case he could change back later.
He or rather She would be Teri and she would make the best of this as to not be homeless. She figured she technically had all the appropriate qualifications and ability to perform the tasks of this job, and she hoped she could use this to work her way into a better position and eventually change back into Terry. She had no doubt she would get the job, she was after all their “Perfect” candidate.
She Left the office heading for her car and was pleasantly surprised to find that many of the other details of her pervious life had been retained. Despite her questionable Job history she still had her degree, which surprised her. Apparently “Teri” wasn’t dumb, she had put her educational background on the second page of her resume which those pigs hadn’t even bothered to read. Strangely she knew it was better this way and some how remembered that this was intentional. Teri had gone in there knowing that he body would be her selling point as it had been while she was making her way through college, she had to pay the bills and if she had to play a dumb blonde to do so she would. Teri found herself admiring herself in this reality for her scheming as she made her way home in her old beat up car.
When she made it home she was relieved to find that her apartment was mostly unchanged though it seemed a tad neater that wasn’t a bad thing, she found herself recalling more foreign memories they seemed more like dreams than actual memories but they offered a baseline for understanding her new life. it was comforting to know that her hobbies and interest were the same. Growing up Teri had apparently been a bit of a tomboy, and learned to be more lady like going into highschool and on into college as it became more necessary.
Teri sat on the couch and took some time to process things she at lease had a better understanding of how the app worked. It seemed to operate on a principal of least resistance. Making only what changes were necessary to get to the what ever the change had been. She drew this conclusion based on the fact that her life had changed so little despite having something as major as her gender retroactively changed. She figured the next best thing to do was to verify her theory and she new just the thing.
She was able to pull up her car using the 3D display, and selected that to generate a sentence.
‘This red sedan is in terrible condition.’
She changed terrible to excellent and submitted the change and went out to check on her car.
