Dylan loved his new tail, but he had to admit, it wasn't exactly easy to sleep with. Whenever he tossed or turned in habit, he'd lay on it causing a bit of pain and discomfort. Dylan decided he'd try to get used to it, basically trying making his tail apart of his life. While it would be hard, he was too happy with his tail to just take it off every night. Dylan got up out of his bed and prepared to leave for school. He looked over at the box and wondered something. "If I secretly put these on other people, will they think its normal?" Dylan decided to bring up a few parts with him. He decided to bring an elephant trunk, a duck bill, some rabbit ears, some dear antlers, and a horse tail to test. He knew a few students that would fall asleep during lectures.
Dylan's mom greatest him with some toast she made for breakfast. "Mornin' kido. Here's breakfast. Sorry to be so sudden. Gotta get to work a bit early for a meeting." Dylan noticed his mom was turning to the counter to look for papers. Dylan saw an opportunity to test if she would take notice of a change. Dylan grabbed the horse tail out of his bag and snuck up behind his mom. He gently took the skin base and applied the tail to her backside. Once the tail was completely attached, she jolted, causing her new tail to flick upward. "Oh!" Dylan quickly dashed back to the table before she noticed him. "That felt strange. I hope I'm not catching something." She said flicking her tail once again. "There. Gotcha." She turned to the clock and looked at the time. "Oh of course. Didn't even get to brush my tail." She said slightly panicked. Dylan's eyes opened wide. She acknowledged her tail. "Gotta go kido. If I don't get my tail to that conference in time, Mr. Connor will tear it off himself." His mom kissed his forehead and left in a slight jog. Dylan with his eyes still wide open had just thought of how much more fun this whole thing could be.
Dylan finished his toast, grabbed his bag, and headed out the door to get to the bus.
