Thinking that it would be all right so long as they didn't use any nail polish, you respond, "Uh, I guess I'll take a manicure."
"No problem sir, our Korean manicurist Kim will assist you with that," the receptionist responds.
"Thanks."
The receptionist points you in the direction of a small Korean woman sitting at a table. You sit down on the opposite side of the table and introduce yourself.
"Nice to meet you," Kim responds, with a slight Asian accent. "What you like today?"
"I'd just like a no polish manicure, my hands are kind of rough from working all the time, and it might be good to get them done."
"Oh, ok, you just sit and I take care of it. Here magazine for you to read while I work."
She hands you a copy of Cosmo. "Um, thanks."
After about fifteen minutes of her rubbing your hands, you become bored and start reading through the magazine. The articles don't interest you and you find yourself ogling at the pictures of the women while Kim works your hands. After about a half an hour of rubbing, Kim moves on. "Ok, time for you to put hands in wax, help exfoliate." While Kim goes to ready the wax, you just sit there, looking around the salon.
Kim comes back with a small basin full of warm wax. She sets it down on the table and takes your hands. As your hands slowly dip into the wax, you find the warming mixture soothing. "Ok, you keep hands in wax for one hour for extra exfoliation."
"Dammit," you think as you look at the Cosmo in front of you. It isn't open to a picture of a hot girl, rather an article about improving yourself. As you watch the time tick by, you become more and more bored. Finally, after 30 minutes, you give in and begin reading the article. Strange enough, as time goes on, you become more interested in reading the article, if only to make yourself appear more beautiful. At about halfway through the massive article, Kim comes over and tells you, "OK, wax done, now time to fix up nails." Without lookup up from the engrossing article, you nonchalantly respond, "Huh? Uh, ok sure."
Your hands oddly feel somewhat different, it's hard to describe, but they don't have the same hard, calloused feel they used to have. Kim grabs an embry board and begins shaping your nails, while you continue reading the article.
Another 15 minutes pass by, and you finish the article, just as Kim is finishing shaping your nails. "Ok, all done with shaping nail, now we apply base coat of polish."
"Wait, what's that, I don't want any polish."
"Oh, but polish good, it help protect nail and give shine. If only, get polish for hygeine."
After a minute of considering, you decide, "Alright, go ahead, what's the big deal getting a clear coat? It's not like it will be noticeable or anything." As Kim starts on the clear coat, you begin reading another article, this time about having better skin. After another few minutes, Kim says "OK, base coat done. You really have beautiful hands. Should consider getting full polish. Manicure look incomplete without."
"I don't think so, I just came for a nonpolish one and you talked me into doing the clear coat, something I never would do."
"But sir, you got most beautiful hands and nails I ever seen. Is crime if you do not get full polish."
"Really?" you ask aloud, as you look at your hands. You gasp in amazement as you look at them. while you were reading a woman's magazine, Kim was doing one helluva job. Your hands look smaller and all the hair on the knuckles have disappeared. Your fingers are longer, but at the same time, thinner. And the fingernails...well, they can hardly be described as masculine anymore. Like the fingers, they are thinner, and also much longer than the small nubs that they used to be. Actually, if you had to guess, you'd say that the nails are more than an inch long.
"What the hell...?" is all you can say as you trace your long index fingernail along the palm of your other, now softer, hand.
"Mistress say to give you premium manicure for getting package here so fast, so I do. Man hands no look good, best manicure given make hands look womanly."
Still in shock, you stare at the new hands that are a part of you. It isn't possible for this change to have happened. You don't understand how the hell this happened. Looking at the hands, you feel a strange stirring in your gut. The hands do seem kind of attractive, you tell yourself. You find yourself beginning to like the smaller hands, the longer, thinner fingers, and the long fingernails glistening from the no color polish that Kim put on. "Maybe it's not so bad," you mutter to yourself. You glance at the Cosmo you were reading, remembering the article about how to make yourself look more beautiful. Some new feeling comes over you and you begin to wonder what your hands would look like with the full manicure done.
"So what you want?" Kim asks. "You want to end manicure like this or you want me to finish. Staring at the beautiful new hands you possess, you almost hypnotically reply, "Please finish."
Kim smiles and says, "Ok, what kind polish you want?"
