"Alright," you say, thinking quickly. "I wish Kim can use one wish for the ring which cannot be used to create a new ring or wish for infinite wishes or any similar wish." You say this all in one breath to ensure it counted as one wish, leaving yourself a little winded afterwards, and Kim frowns at you.
"What was that about?" she asks.
"Just keeping things safe," you say. "I'm still getting the hang of this ring, so I don't want to take too many chances."
"What, you don't trust me?" Kim asks, affecting a wounded tone and expression.
"That's not it!" you protest. "I just think someone with more experience should be handling this."
"Oh, really?" Kim says, putting a hand on her hip. "You just got that ring; you told me yourself. Besides, it's not like you know what you're doing, anyway. Case and point: I wish we would swap bodies."
"Wait, what?" you ask in surprise, but the voice that came out is not your own - it's Kim's. You have a brief moment of shock staring at your own face before its mouth opens and you hear your own voice.
"I wish his previous protection on the ring was removed," Kim in your body says. Her eyes - your eyes - gleam. "And I wish that we were back in our own bodies, but the ring was on my finger."
An instant later, you are staggering back in your own body, watching in horror as Kim raises her hand with the ring.
