Margery was a smart and very intelligent woman. She heard the Medallion Spirit tell its speech as to how the curse as invoked did some deciding as to Bob becoming Roberta; and of her becoming physically entangled as well.
Although Bob had changed almost totally as physically to being a Welsh Mountain breed, gray slate colored pony mare. As then from Margery’s request, she did not wish for her changed husband to be an ignorant animal, the Medallion Spirit regulated the curse to leave Bob being Roberta with the previously human memories of learned knowledge and knowing of what was family and friends.
Marg had during her short time when she felt the curse giving her a duplicate of Roberta’s skin hue and the winter coat of pony fur as her bodily appearance; she overheard the Spirit as conversing with the curse-devil author. She gained a piece of knowledge about the original curse limitations, that to some the physical changes remain for twenty-four hours, as then return to their original, previous self. As well there was a second path to regaining their normal physical self, and that by dressing in clothes belonging to another person, or for Marg, an all, normal looking human person.
It was near to sundown when the Medallion Spirit and its curse ceased and brought an aura of calm to both Margery and for Bob being as Roberta, he a she and being more, became just how aware a horny pony mare felt.
Marg picked up the Medallion and went to the phone hung on the barn wall, and she called the minister, as requested he not come that evening, but said she thought to calm harsh feeling in the household; he might better come on the next Saturday. Reverend Manson reluctantly agreed, as voice his reasons why he felt some concerns about letting linger through three days before he would arrive.
As with the appointment of the church minister then not coming that evening, Marg began the usual chores done by her son Jared, and went to gather into the barn her new stallion, and the three mares.
