She didn't hit the details button to look at what options the preset included. Sherry at first didn't notice anything wrong, the Chronivac just displayed a progress bar slowly moving from 0 toward 100%. She tried to play solitaire...but the program seemed to be making the computer run rather slow...she'd have to have her husband looked at it. "So much for that," Sherry mumbled as she left the Chronivac running and went to get a drink, thinking the program was some kind of malware.
Sitting on a couch in the living room, drinking her coffee, she flicked on the TV and simultaneously started surfing the web on her smartphone. As the bar on the screen upstairs moved toward 100%, she didn't notice that the wrinkles in her skin were starting to smooth out.
She didn't notice until she took a sip of her coffee and...it was milk? She frowned. She'd been drinking coffee out of her favorite mug, but now she was holding a glass of milk. She took a sip, to make sure it was milk...and it was.
"Bill?" she called. "The weirdest thing just happened. You won't believe it." Her voice sounded a bit higher pitched than she remembered....maybe her throat was dry. She tried to moisten it with the milk.
She headed to where she had last seen him. "Bill what the fuck? Why are you- wait the Chronivac!" Sherry realized as she remembered the Chronivac. As she looked into the bedroom where she'd last seen him...
