James ended up as a tiny little bitt sized chocolate rabbit, forced to look straight in front of him. Well, as much as can a rabbit, so with a very large vision field, but a ridiculously tiny part of it common for his two eyes.
It wouldn't have been much of a problem, regardless of what James thought, if it wasn't for Elspeth's ‘gentleman’ friend decreeing the witch needed to go out of her shell and turning the planed tête-à-tête into a frat party, but with witches, wizards and sorcerers for party-goers. James looked impuissant as those magical peoples intoxicated themselves beyond any reason.
The party started to wind down and James thought he was out of the wood, that he shouldn't have mistrusted Elspeth so much finally, he shouldn't have. A young, sexily curvy and extremely drunk witch approached him and, before Elspeth could do anything, gobbled-up the former man. (Not that the old Witch could have done anything to prevent it.)
Battling for its survival, James' soul spread itself into the witch's body and fought for its control. Normaly, it wouldn't have had any chance against the seemingly young witch's own soul, but grogginess helping, the body's original soul ultimately devoured by the newcomer.
While they still remembered their old live as the human named James up to the point of being eaten, they also had access to all knowledge and memories of their new body, namely a witch named Lorelei.
Regardless of how young she look, Lorelei is, in fact, a far more older witch than Elspeth, she is also the leader of their coven. Her new memories as Lorelei let her know that she was the one who cursed Elspeth to look like an old bat, to punish her for breaking the coven's laws, namely buying on the magical black-market unsuspecting humans as slaves. It clearly hadn't stopped her.
The witch formerly known as James may be a bit surprised to be perfectly sober only because her soul had taken-over this body, but wasn't about look a gift horse in the mouth, and concentrated on punishing her unruly ‘mistress’. Taking the aforementioned witch by the ear, she said "Can I speak to you in private, Elspeth dear?" taking the panicked granny to a side-room.
Lorelei never was an ordinary witch. On top of the usual powers, she could also use her voice to seduce any one, if she so wished, and was able with a simple touch to cause an orgasm so intense it could easily kill a perfectly healthy person. To learn how to control those powers, the original Lorelei had involuntarily caused the deaths of lot of peoples, from lovers to total strangers, creating lot of horrid legends about her.
While the new Lorelei had inherited the fine control of those powers the previous owner of her body had developed, she didn't need to use it right now. The coven had already decided that if Elspeth hadn't learned her lesson, she should be killed, and doing it this way would make thing easy if the mortals ever investigated. They would think old Elspeth finally found herself someone to make love to and didn't survive the shock, especially if she undressed her. The magical community wouldn't be fooled, but they didn't need to be.
Lorelei exited the room thinking she would be able to go home, rejoin the daughter that came with her new life, the life of a single mother who's also a witch. That was without counting on Elspeth's furniture suddenly turning back into peoples, causing pandemonium.
