"Oh, shit!" gasped Daniel's friend.
"What is it, Jack?" Daniel asked, looking up from his search.
"It's a little man!" Jack yelled.
That was enough for Bryan. Grabbing hold of the cord, he flung himself off the back of the nightstand.
Daniel, his attention now riveted to the top of the nightstand, screamed out, "Get him."
Jack lunged forward and seized the lamp, jerking the lamp into the air and pulling the cord right out of the outlet.
Bryan, whipped about mercilessly by the violent force, held on for only a second before his hands slipped off the cord and he went falling.
He landed on the carpet, knocked breathless. He started to rouse himself until he noticed four gigantic sneakers, a pair on his left and a pair on his right. He looked up to see Daniel and Jack staring down at him.
"Is he hurt?" Daniel asked.
"I don't know." Jack reached down and started to poke at Bryan with a finger almost as long as Bryan's body.
With unexpected quickness, Bryan got to his feet and ran.
"He's going to get away!" Jack shouted. "Get something."
Suddenly, without warning, a huge cage fell over top of Bryan. His momentum, however, kept him running fast enough to bump into the wire, knocking his bare ass to the carpet once again.
Bryan looked around and discovered that Daniel, having retrieved it from near his brother's desk, had simply lowered a wire mesh trash container on top of him.
The giant boys stared through the makeshift cage. "What is he?" Jack wondered aloud.
"I think he's my brother's friend, Bryan DeSoto!"
Suddenly, a loud, enraged voice interrupted. "What the hell are you two doing in my room?" David demanded.
From within the confines of his cage, Bryan screamed. "David! Help me! Make them let me out!"
