While Kaitlin and Laura sleep, an employee at the mall kicks the dice on accident, then picks them up and brings them to a lost and found. Kaitlin and Laura shrink further in their sleep, from two and five to one and three. As Kaitlin is already struggling with bedwetting, the additional regression causes her to lose all control, and she evacuates both her bowels and bladder during the nap. Unbeknownst to Kaitlin, Laura, or the employee, the dice have bonded to the employee, and Laura and Kaitlin will not regress further.
The smell wakes Kaitlin up before anyone else. She sits up. The mush in her training pants presses against her butt. She lets out a soft gasp at having messed herself while asleep. She stands up, intending to find an employee to help her, but as she does, the soiled training pants fall down, and Kaitlin realizes she has shrunk yet again. Laura and Kaitlin can’t spend any more time at this daycare. They need to go find the dice, now.
Kaitlin looks around. The room is empty of any employees. All the children, toddlers, and babies are fast asleep except for her. She quietly steps out of the training pants and walks over to a dresser containing clothes and diapers. She does her best to wipe herself down and tape on a diaper, and then slips a new dress over her head.
From there, Kaitlin quietly gathers diapers and other supplies, stuffing them into a backpack. She puts the backpack on and tiptoes over to the cribs, where she finds Laura quickly. She wakes Laura up, indicates for her to remain quiet, and then removes her from the crib with some difficulty. On the floor, Kaitlin puts Laura into a new diaper that better fits her. Laura stands up, but unsteadily.
“We’ll go there,” Kaitlin whispers to Laura, indicating a window that they can both easily crawl out of. Sucking on her pacifier urgently, Laura nods. The two friends toddle over to the window and prepare to escape.
