Before Laura can decide what to do with her time, Mason walks over to her. He sits on the floor next to her.
“I guess I have to watch you,” he grumbles. Laura remains silent. “Since I have to keep an eye on you, I might as well play dumb baby games or whatever.” Laura’s as reluctant to play “dumb baby games” as Mason is, but she needs to keep up the façade of being a regular toddler. So she builds things with blocks.
After about fifteen minutes, Laura is bored of the blocks. She turns around to grab something else. When she turns back to Mason, the new toy in hand, her eyes widen. Mason is holding her wallet and dice case. Laura swallows nervously as Mason inspects the items. Finally, Mason looks up at her.
