The bathroom door opens.
“Young lady, do you need some help?” asks the parent who walks inside. Laura looks over, startled. “Are you done in the bathroom?”
“Yes,” Laura squeaks.
“Okay, then you should probably come back to the play area. You don’t want whatever grownup you came with to lose track of you.” The parent walks over, takes Laura’s hand, and drags her out of the bathroom, back to the play area. Laura is let go. She looks back at the parent. The parent watches her expectantly. Laura won’t be able to escape until she’s not being observed.
Reluctantly, Laura climbs onto the play structure again. Hopefully, she’ll still be able to leave in time to get to the station.
