Yet another sleepless night for John at his lab... or at least that's what some of his associates thought. The power for the virtualization and materialization was a little expensive, but the power to run all the simulations... I mean it wasn't insignificant but it was pennies compared to most of the other costs so no one would really notice he'd be in the lab with all the data available to him. John always had a bit of a god fetish, and always enjoyed modding the sims. However those virtual people were only so intelligent. They'd show happiness at any show of goodness and their deaths were always the same. All that data on humans though was amazing. All those memories, knowledge, and even the soul consciousness transference.
Most people assumed the soul part couldn't be copied, but then again why couldn't it have been? He wasn't entirely sure if the copied "souls" were really souls and if they were souls then this wasn't ethical, but it was amazing watching the people in the simulations. John often found no matter how well a true A.I was programmed it eventually became predictable, but with actual people... It was always interesting seeing them react. John took in a deep breath, and in his secure office with no cameras or software recording his actions. Tonight he play with virtual lives in a virtual world again, but would he make a new session or use an old one?
