As Jeff walked with his arm around Henry, his mind raced with possibilities of mischief he could achieve while in Megan's life. Before he could do anything, however, he suddenly found his vision blacking out once more. He barely had time to process this before he regained his vision and now found himself walking outside holding someones hand.
"Wha-" He managed to mumble before a sloppy kiss landed on his cheek. He looked next to him to see their dog Baxter standing on two legs, but instead of wearing his little sister Angie's clothing he was wearing what his mother would wear! He had on a pair of mom jeans and a blouse, he had on makeup over his fur and even had a bit longer fur behind his ears which mimicked his mother's hair style.
"Have fun at Kindergarten princess!" The dog happily said, wagging his tail before walking away.
Jeff stared in confusion and then he looked down. He was wearing the same purple dress that Baxter had worn before, but now resized to fit him. He felt his head to find his hair in two long pigtails and maryjanes on his feet.
"What happened?" he thought confused. "I'm sure I set the change to last a full 24 hours... so why the hell am I in Angie's life? Unless..." He thought as his eyes shot wide. "Shit! Baxter likes to go into Megan's room! Megan in Baxter's life must've messed with the Chronivac?"
"Angie, come now dear don't split from the group." A calm voice said from behind.
Jeff turned to see Angie's teacher Mrs. Chang walking over to him. She grabbed his hand and started walking him inside. He tried to resist but found he essentially had the strength of Angie. Try as he might, he wouldn't be able to brute force his way back home. He was placed in line, which was awkward as he towered over the other Kindergarteners, and the class trotted off towards Mrs. Chang's room.
"Okay, don't freak out Jeff, everything will be fine." He thought, trying his best to reason the situation. "Best case scenario, the roles were just randomly re-shuffled. In that case, I'm just in Angie's life till tomorrow. It could also be hourly random shuffle, in which case every hour I'll find myself in one of my family's lives which would be confusing at a minimum. Judging that nobody but my family swapped means it's only one of those options for now... but if whoever's in Baxter's life right now hits it again, there are other options... Worst I could think of is complete random shuffle which will just start me and the rest of the family swapping into lives of those nearest at random intervals... and there are even more options?! Okay maybe I should stop thinking about this I'll freak myself out!" He mumbled on to himself.
Jeff would soon discover that...
