Emily tossed back most of the beer. It was rich and tasted much better than usual beer, something she couldn’t wait to get more of. After one set of beers came another. And then a third. By the time they finished their fourth beers each the two of them were thoroughly drunk. Emily stumbled back and forth, trying to hold on to her beer.
“I really like this place.” Emily slurred.
“Yeah I suppose it’s not so bad.” Dan agreed before letting out a loud belch.
“Oh geez! Excuse me!” He cried, mortified. Normally he was very well mannered in front of the girls but that belch had burst from him before he’d even known what he was doing.
“I feel funny too.” Emily mumbled, feeling really hazy. “Don’t want to....” She groaned and put a hand to her mouth. She was looking kind of queasy.
Something was tickling her throat and she couldn’t contain it though. “Heeeeeee-haaaaaaaw!” Emily brayed.
But Emily wasn’t alarmed by the sound she made and Dan was too drunk to notice.
“Man am I drunk, how much have we had to drink? My head is so buzzy...is buzzy a word?” asked Dan.
“It issh now!” Emily replied, planting a sloppy kiss on his lips.
“That wassh incredible!” said Dan.
“We had a few mugssh and I feel like I’ve been drinking for hours.” Emily belched to emphasize the point. “Could we go to another place?” she grinned at him.”
