For a girl in high school, Eva appeared to have everything.
She was a straight A student with a lot of friends, her boyfriend Jack was a star player on the school's football team, her mom was a nurse at the local hospital and Eva had aspirations of going to medical school and follow in her mom's footsteps.
With their senior year about to start in only a week, Eva and Jack were hanging out in a local park near the forest when they went for a walk along the trail.
Along the way they found a object that looked like a lamp in a nearby creek.
They thought it looked odd and Jack pulled it out of the water, and sure enough it was a lamp, but it looked like it had seen better days.
"Now who would throw away a perfectly good lamp?" said Jack after he pulled it out of the water. "Something tells me that there's not a genie inside of this thing."
"Only one way to find out," said Eva.
She rubbed the side of the lamp and at first nothing happened, then a little puff of smoke can out of it, then finally a big cloud came out which engulfed Eva.
"Woah! What's happening?" she yelled as she felt herself getting sucked inside of the lamp.
The smoke cleared and the lamp fell to the ground, leaving Jack speechless wondering what happened to Eva.
"Oof," Eva grunted as she found herself landing on what felt like a giant pillow.
She stood up and saw nothing but a white light all around her.
"Where the hell am I?" she said.
Then a voice that sounded like an old man said "At long last this lamp will finally have a genie to call it home."
Eva was confused. "Are you talking to me?" she said.
Then a bright flash happened and Eva found herself wearing a completely different outfit.
Her jeans and t-shirt had been replaced with a long blue silk dress, a veil in front of her face, and gold bracelets on both of her wrists.
"It's all a part of the genie code." said the voice.
A piece of paper appeared in front of her face, Eva read what it said.
"In the event that someone rubs an empty genie lamp, he/she will become the new genie for that lamp. Said genie will have to grant three wishes to at least 100 masters before they will be able to be wished free by another master, then the process will repeat itself with the next person to rub the empty lamp."
Then a massive gust of wind came through the room.
"What's happening now?" cried Eva.
"It appears your first master is here," answered the voice. "Good luck".
With another burst of smoke, Eva found herself out of the lamp and back in the forest.
She saw Jack was holding the lamp and looking speechless.
"You were right, there's wasn't a genie in there. But because stupid me rubbed the lamp, I'm now its' genie."
Jack still looked confused. "Does this mean you can grant me three wishes?"
"I guess so"
"Can I use one to set you free?"
After Jack asked that question, the bracelets on Eva's wrists glowed and Eva's body briefly froze for a couple of seconds.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple," said Eva. "According to this genie code, I have to grant three wishes to at least 100 people before someone can hypothetically wish for that and get out of this, then the next person who rubs the lamp after that gets put in this predicament."
Jack looked disappointed. "Fine," he said. "But do you have to wear that outfit all the time now?"
"I hope not," answered Eva.
She snapped her fingers and her genie outfit was replaced with the clothes she was wearing before with one exception. The watch she was wearing on her left wrist returned, but her right wrist still had the gold bracelet on it.
"Might as well see if this works. What will your first wish be Jack?"
