Laura decides to enjoy her second childhood a bit. She wants to play on the playground. However, she would stick out like a sore thumb on the main area of the playground. Not to mention, the children there are much larger than her, and could push her over even just by bumping into her. Deciding to take the safer route, she toddles over to the portion of the playground reserved for toddlers and babies, making a beeline for the sandbox.
She enjoys her time in the sandbox much more than she expected. At one point, Laura feels the urge to pee, but, not wanting to stop playing, she lets loose in her diaper. She regrets this decision immediately. That only lasts for a short while, however, and she gets caught up in playing again.
One of the toddlers she’s playing with grabs her hand and brings her over to the swings. Laura looks for a nearby grownup. She toddles over and holds up her arms.
“Up, up!” she chirps. The grownup chuckles and places Laura in the toddler swing next to her new friend. They are both pushed by grownups for a long time, giggling and screeching with excitement. Eventually, Laura’s new friend is whisked away for a diaper change. Laura’s diaper is checked as well, but the grownup checking her doesn’t think she’s wet enough for a change. As such, Laura is placed on the ground and left alone. She gets to her feet and looks around, sucking on her thumb without realizing it, as she ponders her next move.
