Laura knows that the best way to disguise herself is to appear as young as possible, so it would be best to dress as a toddler. However, toddlers wear diapers and get checked. If she’s dressed as a boy, but discovered to be a girl, that might raise questions. She selects a short, frilly toddler dress, a diaper cover, and hair ties.
With her outfit chosen, Laura then goes to find a diaper that might fit her. To her surprise, the two largest sizes are too big for her. Once she finds a diaper that fits, she tapes it on, then gets dressed. She puts her hair into pigtails with the hair ties and goes to check her appearance in a mirror.
The reflection Laura sees in the changing room mirror looks young, but not as young as she’d hoped. She’ll need a few more things to dial up her youth. Now toddling due to her thick diaper, Laura goes around the store, looking for something to add to her disguise. She finds a pacifier, complete with a clip to attach to her clothes, and a princess tiara.
Laura clips the pacifier to her clothes, pops it in her mouth, places the tiara on, and goes back to the mirror. With her frilly pink dress and tiara, her visible diaper cover, and pacifier, she now feels she’s disguised herself as a toddler successfully.
Before Laura can take her leave, she hears the door open. The store lights turn on.
