Oliver tries to run away but the attempt ends when he trips over his feet. The jolt sends him to tears. It's not too long before a parent picks him up, inserts the pacifier into his mouth, and rocks him soothingly. The tears continue while the woman asks around a few parents to see if he belonged to them. Oliver just calms down as he finds himself gently lowered into a high fenced, mini play structure area.
"There you go honey. I hope you learned not to wander off. I'm sure your parents will find you soon."
With that she walks away. Oliver goes to climb over the fence but before he makes any headway he finds a new pair of hands around him. A juvenile voice scolds him.
"Nu uh. Babies aren't sposed to leave. Come with me you can play with my brother if you're lonely."
Oliver is spun around to see his captor, an elementary school aged girl. She takes him by the hand and leads him over to a seesaw where a boy a little bigger than him is sitting. Oliver is buckled into the other seat and the girl encourages him to kick off the ground. He sighs and does hoping the girl gets bored soon. Instead he soon finds himself enraptured by the up and down motion.
"There that's better isn't it?"
Oliver nods vigorously.
"Good. My name is Crystal and that's Eric. Can you say your name?"
She takes the pacifier out of his mouth and he responds, "Owwy!"
Oliver and Eric continue playing under the supervision of Crystal for a while until...
