Oliver can't break his attraction to the items, so she decides to try embracing the instinct then returning to the search. First stripping off her current dress and flip flops, Oliver gets to picking out a costume. She is especially attracted to an Alice in Wonderland get up. The dress is pretty and Oliver can't help but appreciate the humor of dressing like a girl inadvertently stuck on a magical adventure.
The blue, aproned dress comes with white tights, shiny black shoes, and a hair bow. She then turns to the stuffed animals and finds a white bunny that feels like the obvious choice. A blue pacifier finishes the ensemble. Looking in the mirror, Oliver is delighted to see that with her blonde hair she's a perfect, albeit a tad younger, match for Alice.
She realizes with a giggle that Alice is a much better name for her than Oliver right now. With dress up time completed, Alice finally feels ready to return to her search. After only a few minutes she lucks out. The employee is at a table with the ring sitting out. Unsurprisingly, the thief is not a particularly alert worker and is too distracted by their phone to notice as Alice snatches the ring.
She turns to flee the store before being noticed, but remembers she needs some adult clothes to get back to normal. Though looking over herself the childish thoughts return and she considers that it would be such a shame to get dressed in such a pretty outfit and not go out and enjoy it first. In the end ______ wins out.
