There was a toddler and baby section of the store. Oliver could get something from there. They might have a wider variety available than the nearby unattended diaper bags. Oliver squirms uncomfortably at the thought of having to wear a diaper because no training pants were available.
She heads back to the store and slips inside when someone exits. The employee who took her outside earlier is at the cash register, so she ducks behind racks and stacks of clothing as she makes her way to the baby and toddler section. Once in the baby and toddler section, she searches for protection.
To her displeasure, she was wrong about the store having a wide selection available. The only form of protection she can locate are cloth diapers. Reluctantly, she ducks into a changing room and puts on the diaper, along with a diaper cover, to protect her dress from any leaks. She emerges from the changing room and goes back to the toddler and baby section to find shoes. She slips on a pair of flipflops.
She’s about to leave when she spots a few other toddler accessories. Oliver toddles over to inspect the pacifiers, stuffed animals, and costume items. New childish urges are emerging, and despite herself, she’s very tempted to take one or more.
