Still... of all those to hit this huge run of bad luck it just had to be her. after all, all she had been doing back in February was running an errand that involved her driving into town in the car her grandfather had brought her, used of course but good quality and affordable... but right at this crossing with a green traffic light for her some arrogant speedster in a flashy brand new convertible, most likely drunk behind his wheel, rammed right into her and sent her skidding into a corner...
...a corner that tragically had a young mother and her preschool aged son that got caught in the crash, mother had survived albeit lost an arm but her son was killed. Nina told the god to honest truth to the police at the hospital after the crash but the next day they returned to arrest her for dangerous driving and ignoring traffic... only reason she wasn't going down for the child's death was due to the mother refusing to have Nina as a scapegoat. Still as a result of the crash Nina had to take her exams in the detention centre, her car written off, being classified as a insurance risk behind the wheel and now to perhaps salvage as much university criteria as possible had to spend her summer as a staff member to a summer camp.
"well here we are" Nina's mother announced as the boat they had been riding reached the campgrounds. "see you-" Nina started.
