Jake climbed out the shower, his entire body dripping with water. He approached the fogged mirror and rubbed it off to view the results. His scales on his snout were a gleaming, almost Jade color. The same applied to his tail as Jake was a refined reptile. "I'll never get tired of looking at this." Jake said smiling through his razor teeth. Jake grabbed a towel and headed back out into the living room.
Leon took a break from the Chronivac, getting a feel for his new additions. He brushed through his hair rubbing his fingers inside his furry ears, and giving his tail a few flicks. He was enjoying himself a bit too much, he didn't even hear the bathroom door open. Jake entered into the room turning around to close the door. Leon, despite having his fingers in his ear holes, heard a worrying door slam. Leon and Jake turned around simultaneously to see each other in view. Upon the first sight of each other, nothing was said, and the only things moving seemed to be blinking eyes from both bystanders.
A full 2 minutes of silence passed and Jake finally spoke up. "Uh... Hey... Leon... You got something to show?" Jake asked referring to his fox features. Leon had his tail between his legs, but lowered his brow and stared at Jake's gator features. "I don't know... What about you?" He asked Jake. "You didn't tell me this was how you were a gator man all these years." Jake raised his eyebrow at the sudden statement. "What are you talking about?" Leon pointed at his laptop. "You know, this Cronov... Whatever it's called. You had this thing all to yourself this whole time?" Jake finally realized why Leon was upset. "Leon, your not going to believe me, but I just got that program today." Jake explained. Leon wasn't buying it. "How? I known you for about a year when you first signed up. You've always been like that." Jake walked over to his laptop to pick it up. "That's what this thing made you think." Jake said confusing Leon more than ever. "Let me explain..."
Jake explained everything that happened today, including the delivery, Jake's transformation, the reality alteration, everything. "So you saw me as this your whole life, but really I just turned into this today. You get it?" Leon felt like he understood a bit more. He even tried picturing Jake as fully human, but struggled to come up with anything. The thought itself made him laugh. "What's so funny?" Jake asked his giggling roommate. "Look, as crazy as it sounds, I believe you. It would make sense for a reality alteration button if I couldn't picture you as a full human in the first place." Leon chuckled. Jake wanted to trust Leon to keep the Chronivac to himself, but he was struggling to know if he would really be trustworthy. He had it in his hands, and an opportunity to change the current events.
