Oliver leaves the dressing room to look for the ring. There’s a slight breeze under her dress, a firm reminder that she’s not wearing underwear or, a better fit for her current age, training pants. Oliver can’t remember at what age she was potty trained, and that might not even matter right now, given that she’s a girl, not a boy. Hopefully she can track down the ring and change back before she has an accident.
Almost immediately, Oliver locates the ring near a display of women’s shoes. She slips it on and goes back to the dressing room, where she removes the dress and puts on her old clothes. Nothing happens. Oliver swallows nervously. Why isn’t she changing back?
She locates the instructions for the ring and skims them again. In small writing near the bottom of the page, there’s a note.
“Be prepared to wait a full 24 hours between transformations, as only one change will happen per day.” Oliver’s heart sinks. She’s stuck as a female toddler until this time tomorrow.
Well, she should get more clothes if she’s not going to be able to wear her actual clothes for a while. She grabs her wallet, keys, and other items, then leaves the dressing room to head for the toddler and baby section of the store. In that section, she locates a pair of training pants, quickly pulls them up, and then takes her time finding other items of clothing.
Oliver grabs a backpack and stuffs her items, more training pants, and some clothing to change into later on into it. She then locates some sandals in her size. After slipping them on, she puts on the backpack, ready to leave the store. Hopefully, she’ll be able to get home and wait out the 24 hours until she can change back.
She exits the store and looks around, trying to determine the best way to go home.
