“Tomorrow at school.”
“What?” Olivia squeaks. Kimberly shrugs. “I can’t be a toddler until then!”
“I can call you off work.”
“No, work’s not the problem, I’m self-employed,” Olivia mumbles. “But I don’t want to wear diapers for that long!”
“Well, that’s what happens when you turn yourself into a toddler and don’t plan ahead,” Kimberly says firmly. She picks Olivia up and begins to walk. They leave the park, arriving at their apartment complex within about ten minutes. Kimberly drops Olivia off in her apartment, able to open the door without keys because Olivia forgot to lock it up before leaving, and promises to return soon with supplies.
Olivia sits on the floor of the living room. She feels pressure in her bladder. Well, she’s going to use diapers for a while, she might as well get used to it. Urine floods her diaper, but gets soaked up quickly. Kimberly returns.
“All right, Olivia, I got you plenty of toddler things,” Kimberly says, setting a tote bag on the floor. Olivia gets to her feet and toddles over to look. “There’s diapers, wipes, food, and clothes. You’re lucky that I had a babysitting gig get cancelled. All this was already prepared.”
“Thank you, Kimberly,” Olivia says, relieved. “And, um, I need a change, if you wouldn’t mind.”
“Did you go number one or number two?” Kimberly asks. Olivia sheepishly holds up one finger. “You only peed? You might not need a change, then. Let me check.” Olivia lets out a shocked yelp as Kimberly sticks a finger down the back of her diaper. “Oh, yeah, you’ll be fine for a while. Which is good, because I have to go do some homework.”
“But-” Olivia starts.
“You’ve got everything you need, and you’re supposed to be an adult. You should be able to take care of yourself until I come back.” Kimberly ruffles Olivia’s hair and leaves the apartment. With a soft sigh, Olivia tips over the tote bag, spilling its contents. She looks it over, trying to decide how to occupy herself while Kimberly is gone.
