Marina Preston waded out of the water, and onto the beach. It was early morning, and the sun was slowly rising as she sat down upon her beach towel, brightening the sky and the waves below. Marina had loved swimming ever since she was a little girl. Her dad, Daniel Preston, was a fisherman, so naturally she and her family were always near water. Her family's house was only a few 100 yards from the docks where her dad worked. At 16, she started working with her dad's fishing company to get an income while attending high school. She would help him with orders coming in from the docks to the local fish markets, as well as fishing on boats herself.
Her hobbies mainly circled around water as well. She loved snorkeling and free diving, and at 19, she was in amazing shape from all the swimming she did, as well as heavy lifting at the docks. She had a little bit of muscle, as well as a six pack, which many guys found sexy (nothing wrong with a girl that's a bit muscular, am I right fellas?).
Marina squeezed out the last few drops of water from her dark brown locks. She took pride in her long mane which cascaded down to her shoulder blades. "They complement those beautiful green eyes of yours", her mother would always tell her with a smile. As she gazed out into the water, reminiscing over old memories, she spotted something in the water. She squinted her eyes as she adjusted her blue and black swimsuit. There, washing up onto the shore, was a black, slim briefcase. She stood up and jogged over to the briefcase, and as she picked it up and examined it, she noticed a key inserted into the lock which secures the briefcase. She went back to her towel and put she briefcase in front of her. She turned the key and a faint *click* could be heard. She opened the case, and inside was something she couldn't quite comprehend.
In the briefcase, there contained a small vial, as well as a note. The note had been stained by the liquid that was in the vial, as it seemed to have cracked. She picked up the vial, nursing it in her hand, while reading the note:
"To whomever should find this briefcase. I had no regrets making this... I love science, and would do anything to protect its values... unfortunately there are people with more questionable values. They knew I'd done it, and they wanted to use it as a weapon. That's why I'm getting rid of it. I do not have the time to destroy it. I'd rather see my creations in the hands of a stranger than in that evil companies hands. May the contents of this vial bring you good fortune
-Poseidon".
Marina was in awe. What is in this vial..? Who is Poseidon? She finds a small ziplock bag from her beach bag, and puts the vial in it as to prevent further leakage in the case. She puts it back in order, closes the briefcase, packs up and quickly hurries home with it. This is going to be interesting.
