"Ok, guys," said Tom, "I know you're right. I'll just do it so we can get out of here."
"NONONONONONOOOOO!" Morgan screamed. Don't turn my Daddy into a clown! I don't want a clown to be my Daddy!"
"Pumpkin," said Tom, "Daddy is really sorry, but remember that I still love you no matter what I look like. It's still me inside! Ok officer, let's get this over with!"
Tom followed the officer to the room with the MORPH machine. His family was allowed to join him. "It'll be ok, Morgan, Daddy still loves you very much." He hugged and kissed his family.
"Ok, said the officer, "go into the next room, undress, and when you're ready, stand on the conveyor belt and hit the red button. "Oh, and one more thing: you will wear a collar that tracks your location. If you leave your property, the collar will make you act like a clown, and you will have the mind of a clown for one month. When a month is up, you will be in your right mind, but if you leave your property again, you will again slip into the mind of a clown for another month. Because you are not at home now, the collar will immediately trigger after you MORPH and you will be in the mindset of a clown for the first month.
As soon as he had left, Morgan burst into tears. She slowly walked over to the officer in the control room. Tugging on his pant leg she pleaded. "Mister Police Officer? Please don't make my Daddy a clown. We always call him Pappa Bear. Would you please turn him into a bear instead? I'll even give you my teddy bear! PLEASE?" she begged.
"SARGE?" the officer shouted. His sergeant had seen the whole thing and nodded his head. "Ok little girl," the officer said, "do you want your Daddy to be a big grizzly bear?" Blinking back tears, Morgan nodded furiously. "Ok, do YOU want to turn him into a bear?" Again, she shook her head yes. "Ok then, come over here. When this big light turns green, i need you to push that button with the bear on it, ok? And you can keep your teddy bear too, ok sweetie?"
"Oh THANK YOU THANK YOU!" she shouted. The machine whirred to life and when the light turned green, Morgan slammed both hands onto the button that had the bear picture on it. The button lit up.
"Ok Missy," the officer said. "In a few minutes you will have turned Daddy into a literal Papa Bear!" Go into the other room and you can wait for him to come out.
Inside the machine, it was pitch black; Tom couldn't see what was happening at all. He felt things being sprayed on him and cold metal touching his body. He tried not to imagine the final result, being trapped as a clown for months until his trial. The last thing Tom remembered was a collar going around his neck and a high pitched whine as it turned on.
