The grand hall is boisterous and filled with more interesting individuals. Several people lined up on the mission board where quests are posted and arranged depending on their difficulty. Alec assumed that quests marked with the letter F are the easiest ones since they don’t pay well and they filled up the boards. The highest he could find so far is a quest with a rank of A - a quest on dealing with a dragon spawn that festered the Malkian Swamps in the east. It pays pretty well judging by the multiple zeroes on the bottom of the page.
But Alec is not here to search for missions on the board. He’s here to find a party as suggested by Ralof and the lobby girl. Alec didn’t need to search far because those looking for parties are the source of the noise in the grand hall. They are loud from advertising the quests in their hands - telling them that they are easy and they have the necessary free equipment to finish the quest as fast as possible. Some are advertising a large cut to those who would join them immediately. The party searchers are usually advertising quests from rank F to rank C.
Alec went by the party searchers and looked over the first row.
The immediate one on the left is a deer hunting quest held by a dark-haired teen with a puffy brown loincloth. He’s somewhat built and probably has experienced in the adventuring field as evident by the multiple crude scars in his body. One such scar has taken his eye and blinded it. On his back are a small hunting bow and a quiver full of iron arrows.
Next to him is a sore thumb in the room for it was a kid among a room full of adults. He’s no ordinary kid, mind you. He’s amply dressed in elaborate adventuring gear that one can assume he’s of noble origin. He is equipped with a short sword on a scabbard, which is already a normal short given his stature. He’s advertising an E class quest of culling 40 green slimes in the verdant bluffs beyond Alabaster’s walls.
And last from the first row of searchers is a girl armed with a red-gemmed staff - which Alec assumed to be of magical origin. The short-haired girl is holding a D-Class quest about retrieving a magic stone in the local ruins. The quest has a stern warning about skeletons roaming in the area.
