Killing slimes isn’t that bad. With his limited knowledge about role-playing games, slimes are usually the weakest enemy in a game - if not, it’s rats. Slimes are the best way to move forward in Alec’s current predicament - so he chose the silver-haired boy with the slime quest.
The boy saw Alec approaching. He looked at the taller lad from top to bottom and gave him a wry look. “Are you going to join my party?” He asked.
“Yes, hunting slimes sounds easy enough.”
“You’ll make good bait, follow me.” the kid said with a smirk.
“Oh, so that’s how it is” Alec grumbled at the attitude this kid is displaying in their short time together.

Both of them went back to the lobby where they met with the green-haired lobby girl once more. The kid submitted the quest paper which she marked as reserved for him and Alec.
“Should I orient you again about your quest?” The girl said.
“I’ve been doing the same quest for two months now Chizu.”
“But Mr.Alec here doesn’t know anything about the quest.”
“Psh,” The kid scoffed. “Poke the slimes, stash their stones in my bag, collect 40 and, finished.” The boy looked back at Alec and said, “You, let’s go.”
This kid is getting to Alec’s limit. For someone half his age, he’s acting all high and mighty. Judging by his clothes, he must be an aristocrat or something and that’s why he’s so goddamn arrogant. Nevertheless, the kid should be his least of worries. It should be how he’d dispose of the slimes with his rickety weapon.

It didn’t take long for them to reach beyond the great white walls of Alabaster - where an expansive verdant bluff of grass plains. In the distance is a forest that extends beyond a lone peaking mountain range and into the horizon. They won’t go into the first as the slimes they are looking for are found east of where they are. Their green-colored surface makes them hard to discern from the surrounding grass, but they can be picked out by the reflection of sunlight in their skin. They are numbered by the hundreds but the plain is wide enough to spread them out. They walked to where the slimes are but stopped a few meters on a hill overlooking a group of them.
“Let’s exchange cards.” The kid said.
“Wait, why?”
“You are new aren’t you? It’s an adventuring etiquette. The party must exchange cards so they’ll know each other’s skills and attributes. Didn’t your father teach you that?”
Alec groaned. This kid, man. He’s cute, sure, but he’s killing him from the inside with his snotty attitude. If sharing his card is what it takes to shut his yapping even for a second, he’d gladly do it. Alec gave his card and grabbed the kid’s card.

Psh, for someone named Manners, he doesn’t have one. His other attributes though… Alec can’t believe that he excelled more in speed and agility. And he even has more skills than him. His only ace is his intelligence which is one rank above Leone. Ha! Serves him right. Another thing Alec noticed is the additional information in the bottom that says level and experience. If what he knew is right, the more level you have, the more powerful you are. Which is probably why he has more health and mana than him even though he’s a child.
“No experience, all Fs except for intelligence and armed with only a rusty dagger. You’ll make a good bait newbie.”
“Okay kid, I had it with you. You think you-”
“Save your saliva newbie. What’s this special skill of yours? Possession? That’s the first time I’ve heard of it. Do it, newbie. Show it to me.”
“Grrr…” Alec groaned. This kid is such a handful. It would be best to remind himself not to have kids in the future if they are all going to be like this little shit. Anyway, the kid is asking him to do his skill so why not? Best case scenario, the kid is blasted from where he’s standing right now. Worst case scenario, it fails to work, and Leone snobs him more with his crass privilege attitude.
