Julia smiled widely as she picked up the photo the camera had produced and placed it on the kitchen table. “That came out great! I had my doubts when you said you wanted to use this retro style camera for your wedding photos, but this is amazing quality.” She said. “You could almost believe it was made this year if you didn’t see the camera itself.”
James smiled as he wrapped his arm around his fiancé. “Yeah, I could hardly believe it myself when I found this thing at my brother’s house and tried it out, but it works great. We were planning to do a retro style wedding anyway, so this will fit right in.”
Paula smiled up at him. “Of course it will, mi amor.” She said, leaning into a kiss. At just barely over five feet tall, she was a petite girl, which is why she almost always wore high heels.
“Awww!” Maria chirped. The younger of Paula’s two sisters, at nine years old she was still dreaming of her own big romantic wedding with flowers and glitter and maybe a pony? Either way, she was ecstatic about being the flower girl for the wedding and getting to wear a pink, glittery dress. Maria absolutely adored romance of any sort.
Cammie rolled her eyes. “Get a room, you two.” She said with a smile. Only a year younger than Paula, Cammie had been involved in the wedding planning from the start and honestly was a little exhausted. A lot more went into planning this stuff than you’d think, she thought. Color coordination, food planning, entertainment... she was going to take a long nap when it was all over. Let Paula and her new husband deal with the aftermath. Hell, with all the....activity they’d been getting up to since the proposal she wouldn’t have been surprised if she found out Paula was going to be a new mommy shortly after the wedding.
